EDN: Environmental Sustainability in Contemporary Dance

European Dancehouse Network developed a report examining the relationship between environmental sustainability and contemporary dance, with a particular focus on the role of dance production centres. The report explores 6 key thematic areas:

  • Sustainability narratives and themes in contemporary dance

  • Approaches to creation, production and presentation

  • Mobility

  • Transforming organisations to respond to environmental sustainability

  • Partnerships and community relations

  • Policies and support

The report is very detailed and explores different ways of working. The reference list too is useful for further reading.
